U-W Policies & PracticesUnited-Writers is a confederation of authors interested in supporting the creation of works that may not be viewed as commercially viable by major publishers and large book selling conglomerates. These works, which might otherwise be overlooked, merit publication for their artistic and cultural value. Using new technology to create and promote books, United-Writers will assist in making available works by established and new poets and writers. The individual members of United-Writers are solely responsible for the content of their work. Independently publishing under the United-Writers moniker allows us to support each other in maintaining the maximum possible control of the product and process. If you like one U-W title, you may like others. But that’s not a guarantee, since there’s no formula or editorial policy to which works must all conform. So prepare to be surprised and maybe delighted; never bored. United-Writers has no central editorial or business office, each book is the responsibility of the author and may be ordered and purchased in a variety of ways, decided and selected by each book’s author. Make note of the address or online ordering and purchasing information for any United Writers book, as this information will vary. United-Writers is a publishing, marketing entity, and books available under the U-W moniker are selected by invitation only. |
